DedicationsFor those who touch our lives.
For our four legged friends: Lucy Clements, a pit bull mix puppy, who came to us a stray and died three weeks shy of her first birthday due to undiagnosed heart problems. Lucy’s House is named for Lucy because of what she taught me about her breed and the need to promote good publicity for pit bulls and pit bull mixes so that people understand the beauty, love, loyalty, and wonderful qualities of pit bulls. Lucy reminded me of what we all know -that the keys to having a good dog is obedience training and being a responsible dog owner. It is also about finding resources and support when you have questions about animal behavior. Lucy died in June, 2007. |

For our human friends and family:
Jay Patton Clements, who has been an inspiration to stay connected to nature and to value all life. His values and beliefs continue to make the world a better place as we foster his love for animals and the environment in our work. Jay loved to snowshoe in the moonlight and felt a deep connection to the earth. His desire to live with simplicity and to give to the people he loved most the beauty of his companionship, unconditional love, and happiness of being simply in the moment reminds us all of the simplicity of the animal world. Jay will always be an inspiration to become better human beings and to coexist with animals and plants to build a healthier planet.
For Carole who gave the precious gifts of place and belonging to her son and lived her life with simplicity. Her love and respect for nature and animals was demonstrated in her very being. She will always be missed and remembered for her natural beauty, grace, and kindness to others.
